My sweet flowering almond shrub and my wood hyacinths in bloom by the front porch.
No, my camera hasn't resurfaced, but fortunately for me I do, at least, have this little removable micro-disc thingy with some of my older photos on it. This photo, taken last May, is a faithful representation of what's blooming in my flowerbed right now. I really love my sweet flowering almond shrub--everyone who sees it exclaims over it--but it's deciduous and dies to the roots every year, and its bloom time is too short for my liking. Still, it's a lovely thing in its season, and especially with the pretty blue wood hyacinths proliferating beneath it.
To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Well, I shan't be able to show you much of my own making until get a replacement camera but, fortunately, I have some photos of some projects Claudia has been creating.
Claudia (my sister-in-law/best friend for those of you who are new to the blog) has been experimenting with old linen calendar towels.

I particularly liked this little throw pillow she made. She also is doing a lot with lavender sachets, using both the old linen tea towels and other novelty print fabrics with larger graphics. These are my favorites:

It's a great idea--half doll, half sachet! Do check out her Etsy shops, SlapHappyGoose.etsy.com and LittleFallsVintage.etsy.com.
Today I received a package in the mail--always great fun! Remember the BNS I mentioned in yesterday's post? These items are from SoapArt.etsy.com, who is also in the BNS. They are such a kick! And the whole package smelled so wonderfully fragrant when I opened it. Here's what I bought:
Aren't these terrific? I think I bought the last ones, but the seller will probably restock them soon, and meantime she has other great stuff:
There's another fabulous seller I'd like to introduce you to, who is also part of the BNS. She has a shop full of truly special vintage items, and right now they're all on sale for 50% off. Her name is Cathy and her shop is JulianosCorner.etsy.com.
Here are some of her wares, all of which I admire and covet:
Cathy's undergoing some fiery trials and your purchases and your prayers would mean a lot to her right now. Get a wonderful deal for yourself and be a blessing to a woman in need! Can't buy? Mark some of her items as "favorites" for others to follow, or pin some of them on Pinterest. Every little bit helps!
Again, if you're an Etsy shop owner yourself, please do check out the BNS link here:
The treasury has been updated and there are lovely new items on display. If you buy from one of the featured shops, your own shop will be featured in a future round, meaning extra exposure for you!
Bye for now! Have a special day.
