Let us put by some hour of every day for holy things...

I will not doubt, though all my ships at sea
Come drifting home with broken masts and sails.
I will believe the Hand which never fails,
From seeming evil, worketh good for me.
And though I weep because those sails are tattered,
Still will I cry, while my best hopes lie shattered:
I trust in Thee.
--Ann Kimmel

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines, the labor of the olive shall fail and the fields shall yield no meat, the flock shall be cut off from the fold and there shall be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Houseboat Poodle

This is just a quick post to show you the photos of the latest in my line of illustrious toilet paper poodle cozies.  I know you've been waiting with baited breath.  Here she is:

This gal has been great fun to work on.  I've been so jazzed, I've already gotten her successor well underway, and she will have her debut before many days have passed. Prepare to be amazed!  (Okay, I know--you're more aghast than amazed, but I'll take what I can get.)

If you're thinking that this poodle cozy is a little plumper than the ones you remember in your grandmother's bathroom in the sixties, you're right.  Like all Americans, today's TP poodle has been super-sized.  No more trim little rolls of tissue for the modern cozy--it's the same ubiquitous modern tubbiness that pervades the rest of western society.  Oh, well. At least she's not wearing low-rise jeans and a midriff top to emphasize her dumpy figure!
